For golf academies, pros and golf businesses

Your facility is immaculate.
Your equipment is current.
And your website?

Someone looking for a pro, booking a fitting or planning a golf trip compares on a phone – usually between two appointments, in under a minute. What they see there decides who gets the booking. Not who teaches better.

The starting point

Golf is a trust market. Your website is the first proof.

Nobody books a two-thousand-euro fitting with someone whose site looks like a template. Not because the price is too high – but because nothing suggests that the person behind it works to a standard. That is unfair to businesses doing excellent work. It happens anyway, before you had the chance to explain anything.

The typical golf website

  • Stock photos of golf courses that are not yours
  • Prices on request – so call first
  • Contact means: send us an email
  • On a phone, a shrunken desktop view
  • The coach stays a name without a face
  • Unchanged for three seasons

A website from KONO Digital

  • Your facility, your equipment, your face
  • What costs what is written down
  • Call, write or enquire – one tap away
  • Built for the phone first, because that is where people search
  • Your method and your qualifications visible
  • Looked after post-launch so it stays current

Where this way of working fits best

Not every golf business needs the same thing.

Four starting situations I come across regularly.

Golf academies and golf schools

Course formats explained clearly, coaches introduced, dates enquirable without detours.

The most common reason a course does not fill is not the price – it is that nobody understands what to expect.

Self-employed pros

A page that shows you as a person, not as a service. Your method, your qualifications, your face, your prices.

Usually a one-pager that answers everything someone wants to know before a first lesson.

Fitting studios and indoor facilities

A service that needs explaining, a high order value, a short decision window.

Here a page pays off that shows the process instead of asserting it – and lets the enquiry happen directly.

Golf travel providers and clubs

Several offers, several audiences, often multilingual. Structure matters more here than decoration.

Building a platform in 24 languages was my starting point, not my edge case.

Selected work

I do not know this business from a briefing.

FindYourGolfClub is not client work but a product of my own: an international lost-and-found platform for golf clubs. Anyone who loses or finds a club reports it in two minutes – no account, free, anonymous. Automatic matching compares the reports and notifies both sides. Concept, design, technical build and ongoing operation: one person.

What is relevant about that for you

Not the technology, but the decisions behind it. A report without an account, because every registration loses users. Proof of ownership before any handover, because in a trust market nobody hands a club to a stranger. And mobile handling that works while someone is standing in the car park.

What that says about your website

Someone running a platform in 24 languages and 9 countries has no trouble with five well-built pages for an academy. The standard stays the same, the scope does not – only what is economically useful to your business gets built.

FindYourGolfClub, figures from 09/2026

  • over 7,300 golf courses recorded
  • 23 partner clubs
  • 9 countries
  • 24 languages
  • club portal for partner clubs
  • printable QR tags

Investment

What it costs.

Fixed project prices that are settled once the scope is clear. You know in advance what we are talking about.

Business – €760

A complete website with roughly five to seven pages, custom design, presentation of your offers and references, SEO basics and a contact form. Plus hosting and care for €44 a month.

The right scope for an academy or a fitting studio with several offers. For a self-employed pro the compact package from €480 is usually enough.

When more is worth it

Business Plus (€1,240) pays off when location or service pages for local search are added and I am to write the copy – in season that is usually exactly the bottleneck.

Booking systems with a calendar, course administration or multilingual areas fall under custom projects from €2,460. That is the kind of task FindYourGolfClub grew out of.

All prices are final prices; no VAT is shown (small-business scheme under Art. 53.º CIVA, Portugal). The full overview is with the packages on the home page. Not sure which package fits? Start a project.

Common questions

What golf businesses want to know first.

Can I see a design before I commit?

If you want, yes: before you place an order you receive a non-binding design draft of your homepage – free of charge and without signing anything. If you do not like it, that is where we stop, and you owe nothing.

I barely have any photos of my own. Does that still work?

Yes, but it costs impact. Real images of your facility, your equipment and of you convince far more than any stock photo – especially in a business where trust is the currency. If nothing exists, we plan the site so it works without them and add them later.

Can people book lessons or fittings directly through the site?

A simple appointment enquiry is included in the standard packages. A real booking system with calendar, availability and automatic confirmation is a custom project from €2,460.

We are a club and the committee decides. Is that a problem?

No. You get the documents prepared so that you can present them without me: proposal, scope, fixed price, process. You do not have to explain anything that had to be explained to you first.

How long does a project take?

For a one-pager usually two to three weeks, for a full website four to six. Mostly it depends on how quickly content and images are available. If I write the copy, the bottleneck moves to me – which in season is usually the point.

You are based in Lisbon. How does working together run?

Entirely digitally and in writing, at your pace – you do not have to keep an appointment free. For businesses in Portugal in person as well. You have the same contact person throughout: the person who builds the website.

What happens after launch?

I take over technical operation: hosting, backups, SSL, maintenance and smaller changes, from €32 a month. If you would rather handle that yourself, the website is handed over in full at the handover price and you can host it wherever you like.

Can I test you on something small first?

Yes – that is what the free website check is for. Enter your address, wait thirty seconds, look at the result. On request I will then send you a detailed assessment. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Let us look at your website together.

Write to me briefly about what it is about – I will tell you honestly what your current site is worth, what is worth doing and what is not. Free of charge.

Free and non-binding. If you want, you see a design draft of your homepage first – if you do not like it, you owe nothing. Payment only comes after that: 30% when you place the order, the remaining 70% after your approval and before the site goes live.
